Website visits
We count visits, not people.
We use GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly analytics tool, to see which pages and episodes are being read. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not collect anything that identifies you personally.
All it records is aggregate, anonymous information: which page was viewed, the site you arrived from, a rough country, and the general type of browser and device. We use it to understand whether the newsletter is finding an audience, nothing more.
Subscribing
When you sign up for the newsletter.
If you subscribe, we store your email address and the club you selected so we can send you each episode. This is handled through Mailchimp, our email provider.
We only use your address to send the newsletter and the occasional note about it. We never sell, rent, or share your details with anyone. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and one click removes you for good.
Getting in touch
When you contact us.
The contact forms open your own email app and send a message to us. We only ever see what you choose to write. We keep those emails so we can reply and follow up, and for no other reason.
Your choices
Your data is yours.
You can unsubscribe at any time, and you can ask us what we hold about you or to delete it entirely. Just email hello@scorecardstories.com.au and we will sort it out.
If we ever change how any of this works, we will update this page.
